Description
The GEMC-FW-SLC Signaling Line Circuit Module is the hardwired interface between compatible NAPCO Fire SLC devices and the Gemini C-Series control panels. The 2-Wire UL Commercial Fire Listed SLC system requires a Gemini C-Series control panel and at least one of the below listed compatible SLC Fire devices in order to operate. These devices may be smoke detectors, heat detectors, NAC devices, single or dual Fire-initiating circuit-input devices, or other compatible devices that report zone status and supervision information to the GEMC-FW-SLC.
THE GEMC-FW-SLC module supports up to 126 Fire SLC devices. A maximum of two GEMC-FW-SLC modules may be used with any Gemini C-Series control panel for a maximum total of 252 Fire SLC zones. The GEMC-FW-SLC module is mounted inside the control panel metal housing and is connected to the control panel motherboard via the supplied connector. The GEMC-FW-SLC module polls each device, continually monitoring and updating the Fire status and conveying this information to the control panel. If there is no response from a Fire SLC device, a trouble will occur within 200 seconds.
Only the NAPCO Firewolf SLC devices are compatible with the Gemini C-Series system. These NAPCO Fire SLC devices may NOT be used on other systems due to incompatibilities with this proprietary communication protocol.
