Description
The Networx Panel is a single-door controller, communicating wirelessly (900MHz),accepting up to two Weigand output devices, and supporting virtually all card/reader technologies including Proximity, Smart, Biometric, magnetic stripe and Barcode and mobile credentials. In addition, 1.5 amps @12VDC is provided for accessories, e.g., power for strikes, mag locks, etc. Wiegand output devices are wired to the Networx Panel wireless controller and provide controlled access to authorized credentials when presented. In addition, the Networx Panel is equipped with two relays, N/O or N/C. One relay should be used for the unlock/lock/strike relay and the second relay is an auxiliary relay, for other functions, and can also be used as a shunt relay.
Also referred to as a NetPanel, it is Ideal when used where wiring isn't possible, such as a gated parking or gated communities (used with standard gate controllers). They are frequently used for education, healthcare, government, airports, courts, municipalities, and retail applications due to its flexibility and ease of use. Networx Controllers simply plug into AC power w/ supplied transformer and are protected within a locking steel enclosure, with provision for battery backup. Part of the Alarm Lock Trilogy Networx Series, it is also fully-integrated for use as a subsystem in several other Napco Access Pro Platforms, including Continental Enterprise and AirAccess Cloud-Based Hosted Solutions.
The Networx Panel communicates wirelessly, 900 MHZ, to one or more Networx Gateways, now available in two variations, wired/ wireless or POE models, communicating via Ethernet or 802.11 B/G for a comprehensive wireless networked door access control system, ideal for retrofits. In addition to live discovery mode system enrollment, Gen. 3 Gateways also offer new preconfiguration offline/ offsite via any smart device, such as an iPad or Tablet. The Networx Panel comes factory-preconfigured for use as part of a wireless Alarm Lock Networx™ system, but is also frequently used, and fully-integrated as a sub-system of Continental Enterprise** or AirAccess Hosted Platforms (E-Access Embedded integration coming soon). In these applications, the 1-door panel is “Discovered” on the system, and then the new system firmware, ie., AirAccess or Continental Enterprise, is downloaded. Subsequently, the system can be configured in that platform for users, schedules, holidays, groups, etc. Once programmed, the Networx Panel controller does not require continuous server communications, as it automatically stores system transactions in its internal memory. The Networx Panel Flash EPROM firmware is easily upgraded when additional features or system enhancements are required.
