This is equipped with a mechanical switch activated by only 1.8” bar movement. Building codes essentially state that egress through access controlled doors must not require prior knowledge of operational requirements. To meet this criterion, SDC’s patented MSB550 is designed to release electromagnetic door locks for uninhibited egress. When slight pressure is applied to the non-latching bar, either of the two redundant solid state pressure sensors are actuated causing the electronics to immediately release the electromagnetic door locks. It is an economical alternative to sensor activated bars. It has a narrow profile with minimum projection of only 1.875”. The unobtrusive design is ideally suited for aesthetically superior glass openings. It utilizes heavy duty aluminum extrusion and rugged end caps. The mounting assembly is all metal. The rigid construction prevents any malfunction due to sagging or warped doors or tweaked –glass doors. It has a switch Bar with 5amp SPDT contacts. The finishing is that of black anodized. It has a request to exit switch. It is UL.CSFM listed. It is burglary resistant. It is weather resistant. It is for 48" (1,219 mm) wide doors. The bars may be field cut. Trigger activation to release the electromagnetic lock is quick and quiet.
