All RJ11, RJ12 and RJ45 Molded plugs have a molded boot that joins the connector to the cable and the RJ connector lock is unprotected. Typically used in applications where there are not many insertion cycles, like in a hard-to-access space. This becomes the male end of the cable that would then fit into a female connector, such as a RJ45 Keystone jack (female adap- tor).
