The Napco StarLink SLE-MAX2-DEMO is both a sales demo and a site survey tool. MAX2, the industry's only UL 864 Certified, SOC 2 compliant multi-carrier commercial fire communicator, has the ability to display for the customer the active carrier and its signal quality. The battery-powered SLE-MAX2-DEMO allows the commercial fire sales professional to easily demonstrate for potential subscribers the power of MAX2 and its ability to quickly recover from a carrier service interruption and lock on to the standby cellular carrier. Simply show the subscriber the connected network, displayed by the RED Verizon or the BLUE AT&T LED indicator. Also displayed is the signal quality, indicated by the number of blinks of the Green RF Signal Strength LED. Press the Switch SIM Button to initiate a switchover to the standby carrier. The standby carrier LED will blink while it is navigating the carrier switchover and light solid after locking on to the carrier. This demonstration gives the subscriber peace of mind knowing that their life safety communication path will always be available, even in the case of a major carrier service interruption.
The SLE-MAX2-DEMO can also be used as a battery powered site survey tool. The salesperson or the technician can qualify a potential site by observing the signal quality of each carrier. This will ensure that if the Napco exclusive Super Dual™ UL 864 10th edition Certified supervised Dual Path, Dual Carrier service plan is required, it will be properly supported.
Super Dual™ provides two fully supervised cellular reporting paths (AT&T and Verizon) as an alternative to traditional cell / IP dual path reporting. This new UL 864 10th edition Certified dual path; dual cellular feature eliminates the fire system designer's ordeal of getting permission from the subscriber's IT department to connect to their network when dual path reporting is required.
