Description
The GEMC-WL-SMK-2 is a high-quality photoelectric smoke detector with integral supervised digitally-coded radio transmitter. During normal operation, when a detector is in standby mode and is within proper sensitivity limits, its green LED flashes once every 10 seconds. As soon as smoke is detected, the detector sounds a local alarm and the transmitter sends an alarm signal to the supervised receiver (operating frequency: 319.5Mhz). The alarm signal is repeated as long as smoke is present. A restore report is sent when the smoke detection chamber clears. Supervision status reports are sent from the detector every hour.

The GEMC-WL-SMK-2 is intended for use with GEMC series panel installations Certified to UL 864 10th edition using firmware version 90.69 or greater. These versions of GEMC series panels will detect an inoperative transmitter within 200 seconds and will annunciate/report the associated supervisory trouble (E-04). The GEMC-WL-SMK-2 is also Certified for use in UL 864 9th edition versions of the previous GEMC series panels.
