1508-055 RS232 to RS422 Conversion Kit for DoorKing Access Control Systems
The DoorKing 1508-055 is an RS232 to RS422 Conversion Kit designed for DoorKing access control systems. It supports long-distance data transfer up to 4000 feet and offers electromagnetic interference (EMI) protection for reliable operation.
Features
- Converts RS232 signals to RS422 to enable extended communication distances and improved noise immunity
- It is compatible with various DoorKing entry systems (including 1833, 1834, 1835, 1837, and 1838 models) but check for circuit board revision compatibility (REV I or higher for most models)
- The kit is suitable for use with DoorKing's Remote Account Manager software, version 6.0 or later
- Installation requires correctly wiring the transmit/receive terminals, using twisted pair cables for signal integrity, and setting all switches on the USB adapter to the left
- CAT 5 cable is recommended but not supplied with the kit
